Topics 

1. Where we come from? - Past

Any topic related to the history of architecture or engineering built in reinforced or pre-stressed concrete, as well as on the history of the evolution of concrete as construction material.

2. Where are we going? - Nowadays Vanguard – Innovation - Future

Any topic on innovation of architecture or engineering built in reinforced or pre-stressed concrete, as well as on the current avan-grade of concrete as construction material.

It also includes: Interventions or restorations made on historical works carried out, Reflections on the future of architecture and engineering built in concrete and concrete as a construction material

Both groups of general topics (A and B) encompass all the specific topics related to the construction of architecture and engineering built in concrete among others; design, construction process, structures, patents, sustainability.

Awards

The 3 best papers will be awarded; Architecture, Engineering, Concrete

The awarded papers will receive 1000 euros each from SIKA, a certificate from the Eduardo Torroja Foundation, and they will be published in the journal “Informes de la Construcción”/ IETcc-CSIC, if they are approved according to the journal regulations.

Abstracts Submission

• The title of the contribution should be as short as possible and clearly reflect the objective of the content.

• Abstracts have to be in English and Spanish and it should have a maximum extension of 13 lines (in Arial 11),  in each language.

• Abstracts have to be submitted no later than 11^th June 2018

• Send your abstract as a Word document file using the following template-abstract, and send it, along with the template-registration, to the following email:

Full Papers Submission

• Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit either a full paper (up to 7 pages) using the following template: template_full_paper (ENGLISH)  OR  template_full_paper (SPANISH)

   

   

• The abstract has to be the same as the one sent before (English and Spanish) but the rest of the full paper text can be written in English or in Spanish.

• Deadline for the final submissions is 18 ^th September

• Send your full paper as a Word document and as a pdf file to the following email:

Note: Publication of the communications accepted and submitted by the deadline is subject to conference registration by at least one author and payment of the respective fees.
